Maddy's Chocolate Chip Cookies

 
 
1 lb salted butter softened
1 ¾ cups of sugar
2 ¼ cups of brown sugar
4 eggs
3 cups + 4 tbsp cake flour
3 cups flour
1 tbsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp vanilla
4 cups of chocolate chips
 
Cream butter and sugars, add eggs one at a time. In a separate bowl sift together dry ingredients. Mix all ingredients and place into the fridge for 12-24 hours. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Preferably on a baking stone. Enjoy!

 
 
 
 
 

Kinley's French Bread

1 tablespoon yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons salt
3 cups white flour (Kinley uses Artisan Bread Flour)
3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons water
 Directions
dissolve yeast and sugar in  1/4 cup warm water
add other ingredients  and allow mixer to knead dough for several minutes 
dough should pull away from the sides of the bowl
let rise for an hour in a warm dry place, covered, or until doubled in size
form dough into loaves and place slices in it to let steam vent
cover and let rise another hour
bake at 400 degrees for around 20 minutes....bread will look mostly white with browned edges...

Hunt Family Cinnamon Rolls

3/4c sugar, divided 
1/2c warm water (110° to 115°)
2c warm milk (110° to 115°)

3/4 cup shortening
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
2 eggs 
7-3/4 to 8-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

TOPPING:
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

ICING (optional):
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 to 3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast and 1/4 cup sugar in warm water.
Add remaining sugar, warm milk, shortening, salt, eggs and 3 cups flour; beat until smooth.
Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes.
Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top.
Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
Punch dough down.
Divide into thirds.
Roll each portion into a 12-in.x 8-in.rectangle; spread with butter.
Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over butter.
Roll up tightly, starting at long end.
Slice into 1 -in.rolls.
Place in three greased 11 -in.x 7-in.x 2-in.baking pans.
Let rise until nearly doubled, about 30 minutes.
Bake at 350° for 20-30 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.
If desired, make icing: Beat all ingredients until smooth and ice cooled rolls


 
 
 
 
 
 

Rory's Sugar Pie (Tarte Au Sucre)

1 cup Maple syrup
1 cup light brown sugar
¼ cup heavy cream
1 egg
1 Tbsp flour
2 TBSP butter, melted
1 pie shell 9 inch
Whipped Cream
Directions
Preheat oven to 400
In a mixing bowl combine first six ingredients, mix together, pour into a pie shell, bake for around 25 minutes or until golden brown, cool for 5  min before serving…serve with whipped cream
